Score team deliverables, provide feedback, and help determine the overall winners. (Training and rubrics will be provided.
Student teams will design a lunar city and describe how it uses two of the Moon’s resources to keep the city’s residents safe and healthy
This year all judges will be remote. Some scoring will be needed before competition day and the City Presentation Judges will meet virtually on competition day to score the teams. Below is a breakdown of the 3 types of judges we need for the competition:
(Prior to Februaryt Event)
1. City Description Judges: responsible for judging student essays about the team’s lunar city and solutions to the 2021 challenge. 2. City Model Slideshow Judges: responsible for judging slideshows showing images and captions of specific aspects of the city (e.g. infrastructure and services) and their solutions.
Virtually at February Event (more details to follow) but tentatively the day will run 9am to 2pm with breaks in between. 3. City Presentation Video Judges + Q&A: Watch as a team explains their lunar city and solutions in a 7-minute video, then join a 10-minute Q&A session with teams, conducted via video conferencing. Guiding questions will be provided and you may also ask your own.
